One of the greatest benefits of a career in Massage therapy is the flexibility to pursue other passions like parenthood, continuing education, other arts or part-time careers. In most working environments, you can choose the number of days you work or the number of massages you would like to perform every week to create a schedule that works with your life.    Income levels for massage therapists vary by location, experience and type of practice. Hourly rates in the Shoals can range from $25 - $60/hr or more, depending. 

You can begin by exploring your options. When thinking about a career in massage, ask yourself “What are my ultimate goals?” and “What are my interests?”  Learn about the different types of massage therapies, modalities, and environments where massage can be practiced.  For example:  If you are interested helping people de-stress, relax and improve their general well-being you may consider Relaxation or Spa massage.  If you would like to work with athletes to enhance their performance and assist in injury recovery you might want to consider Sports massage.  If helping people recover from injuries and chronic illness is a field that appeals to you, Medical or Clinical massage would be an option.  If your interest lies in practicing massage on many different types of people in various environments, you may consider Onsite or Corporate massage.   By enrolling at BIMT, you could be a part of this exciting allied health career; providing massage therapy to help others overcome chronic pain, recover from injuries and illness, reduce stress, and participate in proactive healthcare and wellness. You will need to contact School Director Kellony Kristof by call or text at 256-272-1895.  From there, you will complete an application for enrollment which will have required documentation with it.  Once you have completed the application for enrollment, you will meet with Kellony at the school to proceed with the enrollment paperwork.

As of this time, we offer ONE class per track per year.  One Night Class, one Day Class, and one Hybrid class.
